The 2008 Nissan Versa represents a dynamic alternative to current entry-level hatchbacks and sedans. Power and Performance
All 2008 Versa models are equipped with a standard 122-horsepower 1.8-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine that provides the highest standard horsepower rating in its class. The 2008 Versa also delivers excellent fuel economy. Estimated EPA fuel economy is 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway with the CVT transmission; 24 mpg/31 mpg (city/highway) with the 4-speed automatic transmission; and 26 mpg/31 mpg (city/highway) with the 6-speed manual transmission.

Versa has a unique packaging layout that provides a spacious cabin with class-leading head and rear leg room. Versa also offers unexpected available technology, including Nissan’s intelligent key, a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer, an auxiliary MP3 player input, and an XM Satellite Radio.
The Sport Package adds a higher level of performance styling with a rear spoiler (roof-mounted for Hatchback, decklid-mounted for Sedan), lower body side sill extensions, unique front and rear fascia (Hatchback), a chin spoiler (Sedan), and fog lights.
Safety Features
Front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags and a tire-pressure monitor are standard, while anti-lock brakes with brake assist is optional. The 2008 Nissan Versa has earned a four-star rating for driver and front-passenger protection in frontal collisions and five-stars for side-impact safety in NHTSA crash tests. It also has earned "Good” ratings in the IIHS frontal-offset and side-impact tests.
