2022 Nissan Altima

The 2022 Nissan Altima is available in five exciting trim packages, including the S, SV, SR, SR VC Turbo, and SL. Standard exterior features include active grille shutters, automatic headlights, LED exterior lighting, power mirrors, and acoustic laminated glass. High-end trims also have fog lights, exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals, and a power sliding moon roof. The SR is available with a Midnight Edition package that adds black wheels, accents, and badging. The Altima is available in a variety of modern paint colors. Exterior paint options include Scarlet Ember, Sunset Drift ChromaFlair, Deep Blue, Storm Blue, Super Black, Gun Metallic, Brilliant Silver, Pearl White, and Glacier White.

The SR VC-Turbo has a 248-horsepower, 2.0-liter variable compression turbo I-4 engine that produces 273 pound-feet of torque. All other trims have a 188-horsepower, 2.5-liter I-4 engine that produces 178 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with a continuously variable transmission. The S and SR VC-Turbo trims are front-wheel drive only. These trims also have paddle shifters and a manual shift mode. The Platinum is available with all-wheel drive only. Front-wheel drive is standard on all other trims, with available all-wheel drive.

Standard performance features include anti-lock brakes, brake assist, electronic brake force distribution, power steering, and cruise control. The SR and SR VC-Turbo trims have a sport-tuned suspension to improve road handling at high speeds. All other trims have independent strut front and multi-link rear suspensions to provide a smooth, comfortable ride on any terrain. The combined EPA-estimated fuel efficiency for the lineup ranges from 29 mpg to 32 mpg, depending on the engine and drivetrain installed.

The Altima provides roomy seating for five adults. Standard comfort features include an in-cabin micro-filter, power windows and locks, push-button ignition, remote start, and a tilt-and-telescopic steering column. High-end trims also have dual-zone automatic temperature control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, accent lighting, driver's lumbar support, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and wood-tone trim. With all seats occupied, the Altima provides 15.4 cubic feet of cargo space. The 60/40 split-folding rear bench allows you to customize your storage and seating. Owners of the Altima will enjoy a plethora of infotainment features. All trims include a touch screen display, voice recognition, Siri Eyes Free, hands-free text messaging assistant, Bluetooth audio streaming, USB ports, and speed-sensitive volume control. Except for the base S trim, all models also include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other available infotainment features include onboard navigation, satellite radio, active noise cancellation, and a Bose premium nine-speaker audio system.

Standard safety features include advanced airbags, LATCH anchors and tethers in the second row, and a rearview camera. All trims also include automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, intelligent forward collision warning, lane departure warning, high beam assist, and intelligent driver alertness. High-end trims also offer traffic sign recognition, intelligent trace control, intelligent lane intervention, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, and a rear sonar system.
