Trim Levels (Exterior)
The current model of Nissan Kicks comes in three trim levels, essentially representing basic, mid-range, and upscale feature suites. The base level trim is the S, followed by the SV, then the luxury-touched SR trim levels. The SV trim brings some exterior touches, including body-colored exterior trim, roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Engine (Power)
There is only a single powertrain that powers every 2023 Kicks model, regardless of which trim level you choose. This powertrain is an inline four-cylinder engine with a 1.6-liter displacement, which is mated to a continuously variable transmission, or CVT. It can kick out 122 horsepower at 6,300 RPM with 114 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 RPM. Performance
While the 2023 Nissan Kicks is not built to run races, it does feature a perky ride experience with nimble and athletic steering, which corners far better than some larger SUVs. Sight lines are excellent due to the large windows, shallow blind spots, and low hood. Base technology includes six speakers, Bluetooth, smartphone connectivity for Android and Apple, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen. You can add features like heated mirrors, heated seats, remote start, automatic climate control, satellite radio, a bigger touchscreen, and premium 8-speaker Bose sound at higher levels.
Safety Features
Even at the base S trim, you get an impressive suite of active, intelligent safety systems and driver-aid features. These include forward collision mitigation and warning with automatic emergency brakes, reverse automatic braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and cross-traffic rear alerts, parking sensors in the rear, and automatic high beams. Stepping it up gives you enhanced rear brakes, adaptive cruise control, and drowsy driver warning systems. The top trim level nets you a top-down surround-view 360-degree camera system.
