A resistor block controls the speed of the AC fans, allowing them to blow faster or slower depending on the speed setting you select. If your AC only blows cold air when you accelerate, then switches to cool air when you decelerate, you probably have a damaged compressor. The compressor pushes air through the AC and is powered by a pulley that spins as the serpentine belt passes over it. If your compressor is failing, it can't move air through the system as fast as it used to. When you accelerate, the serpentine belt moves faster, which spins the pulley faster and forces the compressor to work harder. A damaged blower motor could also prevent the fans from blowing air. We'll check your fans and can easily replace damaged ones to restore normal airflow.
