How Long Has It Been Since Your Nissan's Last Oil Change?

A regular oil change at your Nissan dealer is essential to keep your engine lubricated and protected against wear and damage. When you follow your vehicle's oil replacement intervals, your Nissan Versa, Rogue, or Titan will burn less gas, you'll spend less on repairs, and you will enjoy every mile behind the wheel for many years.

Tips From Your Nissan Dealer: How Long Has It Been Since Your Nissan's Last Oil Change?

Oil and Filter Replacement Intervals

How often your Nissan will need an oil and filter replacement depends on various factors, such as the model you drive, how old it is, the engine type, and the oil quality. Nissan recommends an oil and filter replacement every 5,000 to 7,500 miles or twice a year. However, other factors, like driving conditions, can affect the frequency of oil and filter replacements.
For instance, if you drive in heavy commuter traffic or on uneven and dusty roads, allow your car to idle for long periods, and tow heavy loads, you'll have to replace the oil and filter more often. The oil and filter replacement intervals are in your owner's manual or speak to your Nissan technician to help you determine the best oil replacement schedule for your specific Nissan model and driving conditions.

Quality Nissan Oil and Filters

At our dealership, we only use high-quality oil and filters that are tested and approved by the manufacturer for your Nissan. You have a choice of Genuine Full Synthetic OW-20, Genuine Semi-Synthetic 5W-30, and Mobil 1 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil, all of which provide excellent lubrication and protection against sludge and rust.
Additionally, we replace the oil filter with a genuine Nissan oil filter during every oil replacement. The filter has an anti-drain-back valve that keeps the oil in the filter when the engine is not running, reducing wear and preventing harmful contaminants from reaching your engine.

Complimentary Multi-Point Inspection

When you bring your Nissan to us for an oil and filter replacement, our technicians will perform a complimentary multipoint inspection to evaluate each system and component of your vehicle. This thorough assessment will help determine the necessary maintenance to keep your vehicle running at its best.
All the fluids will be checked, and the battery, cables, terminals, and mounting will be inspected. The brake system will also undergo a thorough inspection, and so will the interior and exterior of your vehicle.

Benefits of Oil and Filter Replacements

As you drive your car, the oil becomes dirty and contaminated. As a result, it loses its ability to lubricate and protect your engine. This increases friction, causing wear, overheating, and excessive fuel consumption. It's crucial to replace the oil at the recommended intervals set by the manufacturer to prevent engine damage.
Regularly replacing the oil will increase fuel efficiency and ensure your engine lasts longer. When your Nissan performs optimally, you will save a ton on gas and repairs.

Keep your Nissan running like new with regular oil and filter replacements from qualified Nissan technicians. Contact Tony Nissan today to schedule a maintenance service and ensure everything under the hood is well-lubricated and running smoothly.

Air Conditioning Maintenance for Your Nissan: Stay Cool and Comfortable

Our Hawaiian summers are fantastic, but you'll still need the comforting cold air from your AC on a hot day. AC components can wear out or break, and your AC won't work as efficiently as it should. As your Nissan dealer, we want to tell you about some signs you need to visit us for AC maintenance. more Signs You Need AC Maintenance at Your Nissan Dealer Cold Air Only at Speed The speed setting on your dash controls the airspeed of the air blowing into your cabin. A resistor block controls the speed of the AC fans, allowing them to blow faster or slower depending on the speed setting you select. If your AC only blows cold air when you accelerate, then switches to cool air when you decelerate, you probably have a damaged compressor. The compressor pushes air through the AC and is powered by a pulley that spins as the serpentine belt passes over it. If your compressor is failing, it can't move air through the system as fast as it used to. When you accelerate, the serpentine belt moves faster, which spins the pulley faster and forces the compressor to work harder. We'll check your compressor and repair or replace it, depending on the situation. Noises From the AC A healthy AC doesn't make any sound except for the sound of air blowing into the cabin and a tiny click at regular intervals as the compressor switches on and off. Rustling, rattling, clunking, or other strange noises are all signs something is wrong with your AC. Rustling noises are usually made by dirt or leaves that were drawn in through the air intake and are now trapped in the ducts. Rattling and clunking could mean a more serious issue, as they suggest something metallic is loose. They could be caused by broken compressor bearings or other damaged components. Our technicians can easily remove debris from your AC ducts, and we can also repair any other AC damage, and the noises will disappear. Fan Problems Air enters the AC, and the heat and water are removed, then the air is chilled and blown into your cabin. The blower motor controls the fans and blows the air into your cabin. The fan blades are delicate and can easily be damaged by stones or other hard objects thrown up from the road. Broken or damaged fans will prevent air from blowing into the cabin. A damaged blower motor could also prevent the fans from blowing air. We'll check your fans and can easily replace damaged ones to restore normal airflow. We can also repair or replace the blower motor if it's the cause of the problem. If your AC isn't working correctly, contact our service department today at Tony Nissan in Waipahu, HI.
