Understanding Your Nissan Warranty: Maximizing Coverage

Your new Nissan is protected by a range of warranties that cover almost every component except those specifically excluded. It covers a US-registered vehicle wherever you travel in the US, US Territories, or Canada. If an issue covered by warranty is identified, it will be repaired by Nissan-trained technicians using Nissan-authorized parts at any Nissan dealer in the US. Understanding Your 2025 Nissan Warranty Coverage

Basic Coverage

This warranty covers most of the systems and components in your Nissan except, as mentioned above, those that are specifically excluded. Excluded items and situations include repairs made with unauthorized parts, accidental damage, and damage due to lack of maintenance. All excluded situations are explained in detail in the warranty handbook.
Warranty duration applies for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. In the unlikely event of an issue with any system or component, its repair or replacement will be performed at no charge.

Powertrain Coverage

The powertrain covers the most complex and expensive parts of your vehicle. These include the engine, transmission, transaxle, transfer case, and the drivetrain. All components in these systems are covered, and this protection applies for five years or 60,000 miles. In addition, your airbags and the airbag system are also included in this coverage.

Seatbelt Coverage

Your seatbelts, and the seatbelt system, are protected by this warranty for ten years and unlimited mileage.

Adjustment Coverage

Adjustments are any changes to your vehicle that don’t require replacement parts. These include tire balancing and wheel alignment. All adjustments are free of charge for the first year or 12,000 miles.

Refrigerant Only Recharge Coverage

If you need a refrigerant recharge, the cost is covered in full for the first year or 12,000 miles. If you need a recharge after this time, it will be provided free if it is part of an AC warranty repair.

Wiper Blade Inserts Coverage

Your original wiper blades are covered against any defect for six months.

Corrosion Coverage

Corrosion is damage caused to untreated metal when it’s exposed to water and air, and it will rapidly destroy the metal. All sheet metal and panels in your Nissan are protected against corrosion by specialized coatings applied during manufacture. If corrosion develops and perforates any metal, forming a hole through the metal from one side to the other, the affected part will be replaced at no cost. This coverage applies for five years and unlimited mileage.

Towing Coverage

If your Nissan can’t be driven due to a warranty-related issue, it will be towed to the closest Nissan dealer at no charge.
