It's converted from a gas into a liquid in the compressor. This liquid then mixes with hot air flowing in through the vents. The hot liquid moves into the receiver-dryer, where the heat is removed. After this, the liquid enters the evaporator where its pressure is reduced and cooled. This cold air is then blown into your cabin. The blower motor is responsible for blowing cold air into your cabin. If the blower motor fails, the cold air won't circulate through your cabin.
