This beach features coarse sand and a rocky coastline; therefore, footwear is required to enjoy the water. At the top of the beach, near the treeline, there is a stretch of white, soft sand. It may be windy, and windsurfers frequent the area, but the beach is sheltered by a reef, so the surf is quiet. Hanauma Bay Hanauma Bay is a beautiful natural bay created by an old volcanic cone. The bay is the appeal here since it is a popular snorkeling location. The feeling of s Swimming in a gigantic aquarium is made possible by the soothing, clear water and abundance of marine life.
