Leaking Refrigerant

Refrigerant is a colorless, odorless gas used by your AC system to provide cold air. This gas changes to a liquid and back to a gas as it removes heat from the outside air and cools it. A leak will have a serious impact on your AC, as a lack of refrigerant prevents the AC from cooling. Unlike most other fluid leaks in your car, a refrigerant leak is more difficult to notice.
Since it’s gas, our technicians will use a UV chemical to trace the source of the leak. The chemical is pumped into the AC system. Our technicians will search for the leak using a special UV light. This light will immediately pinpoint even the smallest leak, and our technicians will repair it. Once the leak is fixed, we’ll refill the refrigerant and test the system.

Blocked Air Vents

Your AC may be working but it’s not blowing cold air into your sweltering cabin. One of the most likely causes of this is blocked air vents. Your car has two sets of vents, an external set for drawing air in and an internal set for blowing air into the cabin. The external vents are located on the lower section of your windshield.
In time these vents, particularly the exterior ones, can become blocked. The air drawn into your car also carries leaves, dirt, and other debris. These contaminants can build up on the outside of the vents and block them. The interior vents can also become blocked by debris that enters the AC system. Our technicians can easily remove these blockages to allow normal airflow.

Damaged Blower Motor

Refrigerant goes through several different stages to produce cold air. It’s converted from a gas into a liquid in the compressor. This liquid then mixes with hot air flowing in through the vents. The hot liquid moves into the receiver-dryer, where the heat is removed. After this, the liquid enters the evaporator where its pressure is reduced and cooled. This cold air is then blown into your cabin.
The blower motor is responsible for blowing cold air into your cabin. If the blower motor fails, the cold air won’t circulate through your cabin. Our technicians can repair or replace the motor to fix the problem.
