1. Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum

History buffs and avid aviation fans will enjoy the museum located at 319 Lexington Blvd. Built in 1999, most of their exhibits focus on the attack on Pearl Harbor and World War II while incorporating the rise of aviation and how taking to the skies propelled our nation forward. Visit the historic landmark control tower where soldiers stood guard as the attack on Pearl Harbor began and witness a 360 view of the battleground

2. Hawaii’s Plantation Village

The town of Waipahu used to be a sugar plantation. Hop in your 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport SL and tour a recreation of the plantation village at 94-695 Waipahu St Ext. This attraction features a living museum of restored buildings and a gorgeous botanical garden. The Village weaves the true story of the plantation’s varied ethnic background, which combines many cultures including Hawaiian, Filipino, Puerto Rican, Korean, and more.
A local guide will take you on a journey through more than 25 authentic plantation homes and structures featuring art, personal artifacts, unusual plants, and even some delicious fruit samples. 3. Waipahu Hongwanji Buddhist Temple

The Jodo Shinshu sect of Buddhism took root in Waipahu in 1901 and can be found at 94-821 Kuhaulua Street. The beauty of the temple is incredible to behold at any time, but they also provide specific services such as weddings, blessings, and ceremonies.

Head over to the indoor trampoline park at 94-157 Leoleo Street for activities like Laser Tag, Dodgeball, and Basketball. 5. Waipahu Soto Zen Temple Taiyoji 

The Soto Zen School temple is located at 94-413 Waipahu St Ext and teaches the ways of the dharma as passed down by Shakyamuni Buddha. Here you will find information on Zazen, Sutras, and Baikaryu Eisanka, along with other practices. Be sure to watch their event calendar for activities like the Spring Equinox Ceremony (Higan-e) in March, the Flower Festival (Hana-matsuri), and more.
