Standard Nissan Warranties

Your Nissan is automatically covered by two warranties: a limited warranty and a powertrain warranty. These two warranties are also transferrable to a new owner if you sell your vehicle within the warranty period.

Limited Warranty

The limited warranty applies for the first three years/36,000 miles. It protects your Nissan against any problems caused by an issue with the materials used in its construction or the technicians that built it. If there is a problem, it will be fixed at your dealer at no charge.

Powertrain Warranty

The engine, transmission, and drivetrain are your vehicle’s most complex and vital systems. This warranties all their components against any manufacturing or material problem for the first five years.

Vehicle Service Contracts

A warranty gives you peace of mind that your car is protected, but your original warranties will end. Repairs can be expensive, especially if a major system like the engine or transmission needs to be repaired. Nissan offers three vehicle service contracts that can protect you and your Nissan against unforeseen repairs. Let’s take a look at what these contracts provide.

Powertrain Preferred

The powertrain contract protects your engine, transmission, and powertrain components. It also protects many components in the suspension, fuel system, electrical system, AC system, and braking system. In total, 840 components in your Nissan are covered by this plan. In addition, you also receive 24/7/365 roadside assistance as part of this contact.

Silver Preferred

The silver preferred plan includes everything in the above plan and protects an additional 680 components. Protected systems include steering, suspension, electrical system, and audio/visual and navigation systems. In addition, this plan includes three additional benefits.
Trip interruption provides up to $500.00 per claim if a breakdown occurs more than 100 miles from your home. Car rental reimbursement provides up to $175.00 per day for up to five days if you need to rent a car while your vehicle is being repaired. Finally, towing provides ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​up to $100.00 towards a tow service to the nearest Nissan service center.

Gold Preferred

As the ultimate service contract, this plan protects all your car’s components with a few exceptions. All the exceptions are specifically listed in the contract. Normal maintenance costs are also not included.
