Waipahu, HI is famous for its natural springs. It’s a peaceful, beautiful place with an abundance of palm trees, pleasant parks, and great eateries. There are also some excellent coffee shops in town. Let’s take a look at the best of them.

Drive on Over: 3 Local Coffee Shops Near Waipahu, HI

Rocky’s Coffee Shop

The area’s most popular coffee place is a charming little family-run retro-style cafe that serves excellent coffee and terrific meals too. The food is all home-cooked local fare with generous portions, and the servers are super-friendly and prompt with their service.
The comfy booth seating and decor have a slightly nostalgic 1950s feel. There’s a detailed mural on a wall depicting the historic Waipahu Depot Street and scenes from an age when Waipahu was famous for its sugar mill. This all makes for an interesting, relaxing place to settle down for a hot drink and something to eat on a busy day. As the mural hints, this cafe is located at 94-316 Waipahu Depot Street.

Hang’s French Coffee & Smoothie

As a sign on the wall boldly states, coffee is their one true love at this comfy and cheerful coffee bar at 94-226 Leoku St. Not only do they serve top-notch coffee, served with a smile, but they also have wonderful bubble teas and smoothies. The ingredients are all fresh. You point at the fruits you want to go into your drink, and they blend it all up right there and then.
The strawberry taro boba smoothie and mango with lychee jelly boba come highly recommended. If you’re driving past on a hot day in your snazzy new 2022 Nissan Sentra SV, pop in to grab a refreshing smoothie and let it cool you down as you drive on alongside the Sentra’s top-of-the-range air conditioning system.

Coffee or Tea

In the north of town, you’ll find this welcoming, unpretentiously named coffee place that offers a whole range of interesting teas, coffees, and other beverages. It sits in the McCully shopping center at 94-1144 Ka Uka Blvd. If you’re peckish for a snack, come and try their delicious shaved ice treats or puddings served with rich, thick custard.
Their coffees are strong and flavorful. Their bubble teas are also really popular. Some claim you’ll find the area’s best boba and milk teas here, which is saying something in a town that loves bubble tea so much. Even though it’s a well-known and popular cafe, you’re always likely to find a seat in their spacious, well-lit seating area.
After enjoying your next morning brew at one of these great coffee joints, visit Tony Nissan. For 35 years, we’ve been striving to provide nothing short of world-class service to each and every customer.
