Kailua Beach
Kailua Beach Park, a 30-minute drive from Waipahu, provides a pristine Hawaiian beach experience. It boasts three miles of silky sand beach with warm, aqua-blue waters. The surf is calm and suitable for swimming and wading. Additionally, The beach area is part of a 35-acre park that also has volleyball courts, basketball courts, hiking trails, and other recreational opportunities.
The beach includes lifeguards and several services (restrooms and outdoor showers). Kayakers and paddle boarders also have access to Kailua Beach.
Magic Island
This island is really a man-made peninsula between Ala Moana Beach Park and the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor at Waipahu. The whole peninsula, originally intended to be a resort, is now a park. At the tip of the peninsula, there’s a gently curving beach that forms a little cove surrounded by a man-made reef. The sand is fine and the waves are gentle. On the other side of the yacht harbor, there is an unprotected beach with modest waves.
Sandy Beach
Sandy Beach is a broad, curving beach in a residential community near Waipahu. Aside from the delicate sand, Sandy Beach is a favorite parking spot for food trucks. It’s also a famous surfing destination, although the high waves (and powerful riptides) that attract surfers may make swimming unsafe. Waialae Beach
Waialae Beach Park is a small, natural beachfront park in the Kahala neighborhood of Honolulu, roughly 30 minutes from downtown. This beach features coarse sand and a rocky coastline; therefore, footwear is required to enjoy the water. At the top of the beach, near the treeline, there is a stretch of white, soft sand. It may be windy, and windsurfers frequent the area, but the beach is sheltered by a reef, so the surf is quiet.
Hanauma Bay
Hanauma Bay is a beautiful natural bay created by an old volcanic cone. The bay is the appeal here since it is a popular snorkeling location. The feeling of s Swimming in a gigantic aquarium is made possible by the soothing, clear water and abundance of marine life.
